Adding Parts and Labor to Jobs from the Catalog Viewer

Use the Catalog Viewer to view prices for OEM parts, to view and select aftermarket parts and labor items, and to add selected items to a Job.

 

To use the Catalog Viewer window:

  1. From the Job window, click the Parts & Labor/Catalogs button.

  2. On the Catalog Viewer window that opens:

    • The blue title bar shows the most recently selected vehicle.

      • If a vehicle is already selected: The Catalog Viewer displays with the OEM + AutoZone tab active and a list of components showing for that vehicle.

        • If you have set up other vendors/catalogs, their tabs will also appear.

      • If a vehicle has NOT been selected, or if the vehicle cannot be mapped to the vendors/catalogs, you must select a vehicle.

        • The Select Vehicle YMME list displays, allowing you to choose the Year, then Make, then Model, then Engine

        • Once an Engine is selected, a list of components will display.

  3. Click on the desired categories in the component list until the the basic component level is reached.

    • Result: On the OEM + AutoZone tab:

      • The Part section shows parts from Autozone.

      • The Labor section shows labor estimates from ALLDATA related to the Parts shown.

        • If the Map OEM/AutoZone Parts option is NOT selected, click the AutoZone Parts button to add AutoZone parts to the list.

  4. Use the check boxes to select part and labor line items.

  5. Click Add Selected to add the selected items to the Selected Items tab.

  6. If using additional vendors/catalogs, click the desired tab, select the desired parts and click Add Selected.

    • Repeat for as many vendors as desired.

  8. When you finish selecting items to add to the Job, click Submit.

    • Result: Items are automatically added to the current Job and the Job window displays.

      • If you have selected a part that is in the Parts table with a different price, and the Price Override is selected, the Price Override Parts dialog box displays.
