Deleting Customer Types

Deleting a Customer Type does NOT alter any posted or unposted orders.

  • If you delete a Customer Type that has customers assigned to it, those customers are reassigned to the System Default customer type.

  • Deleting a Customer Type does NOT automatically change the tax exemption settings at the customer or vehicle level.
     

 

To delete a Customer Type:

  1. From the Setup menu or shortcut bar, select Customer Types.

    • Result: The customer types list displays

  2. Click to highlight the customer type you are deleting.

    • Note: You cannot delete the System Default customer type

  3. Click Delete.

    • Result: A message box asks if you want to delete this item.

  4. Click Yes to complete the deletion.
