Say that you decide to restore a 1958 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham 365 Tri-Power with the special air suspension system, a rare car even in its day. Where would you get the information to repair this magnificent, tail-finned beast?

Right here—from our amazing Library Resource Center team.
In fact, the team already met that challenge for a customer who also needed a wiring diagram for the instrument cluster of a 1961 Chrysler 300G 413ci, complete wiring diagrams for a 1961 Volkswagen Beetle, and several other pieces of hard-to-find information. How much did it cost that customer to have us find the information? Not a penny. The services of the Library Resource Center are included in your ALLDATA Repair® or ALLDATA Collision® subscription price.

On-Call Experts
Staffed by experienced automotive technicians—many with multiple ASE certifications and some certified as Master Automobile Technicians—our Library team can find the information for even your toughest repair challenges. At ALLDATA, we value their expertise and encourage team members to stay current by offering incentives for ASE certification and requiring certification for advancement.

“Technology drives change,” says Automotive Support Manager Neal Montgomery, who worked as a technician for 15 years before joining ALLDATA in 1989. In his role as manager of the Library Resource Center for the past 12 years, he’s seen plenty of change. “Technology continues to change the vehicles we provide information on and the way we deliver that information. But nothing replaces the human touch. It’s important for our customers to be able to contact someone who will personally track down what they’re after and eliminate the frustration that’s so often part of an information search.”

Team

34,000 vehicles – and countless more
While the ALLDATA Repair and ALLDATA Collision databases contain mechanical information on 34,000 engine-specific cars and trucks from 1982 to 2013, our Library staff can hunt down information you can’t put your finger on and locate the information on cars built before 1982. They can also get you newly released articles on 2014 cars and trucks that are waiting to be processed into our online database.  Best of all, the Library team usually fulfills requests in 30 minutes or less.

How to access the Library
The Library is open six days a week, Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 6:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Pacific time. Access is available through an online request form, via fax, or by phone.

“The online request forms will get you the fastest response,” says Montgomery. “Filling out the form gives us all the information we need to go look for the information you need. I always recommend people go that route if they need a quick turnaround. We’ll send you the information by email or fax, depending on which you prefer. And we track our response rates to make sure we maintain top delivery speeds.”
