About the competition

The U.S. Auto Tech National Championship is part of the 8th annual IDEAL® Elite Trades Championship Series (ETCS). This exciting series highlights the skills and craftsmanship of the nation's top tradespeople. It aired on the CBS Sports Network, with the final round on Dec. 22.

The top three finalists of each field shared a prize pool of more than $300,000 in cash and sponsor-provided awards. Finalists were culled from a rigorous series of qualifying events over several months before dueling head-to-head in a custom-built arena that challenges and honors their vital skills. 

Thanks to ALLDATA and parent company AutoZone’s participation, the first-place winners also received a one-year subscription to ALLDATA Repair^®.
