Turning Off IE7 Compatibility View for ALLDATA Websites
Some Internet Explorer users have set up their browser to be compatible with sites that only work (or work better) using Internet Explorer 7.
-
As technology moves forward, fewer and fewer websites are compatible with IE7.
-
Those with Compatibility View turned on will increasingly need to turn it off in order to view ALLDATA websites without any issues.
Turning Off Compatibility View for ALLDATA Websites
-
Open the Internet using Internet Explorer.
-
Click Tools.
-
If the top menu bar is hidden, reveal it by pressing the Alt and T keys on your keyboard at the same time.
-
-
Click Tools >> Compatibility View Settings.
-
In the Compatibility View Settings:
-
Make sure that there are NO ALLDATA addresses listed in the Websites you’ve added to Compatibility View window.
-
Remove any ALLDATA websites by clicking on each one, then clicking Remove.
-
-
If you want to keep Compatibility View turned on for NON-ALLDATA websites:
-
Leave any websites that are already listed in Websites you've added to Compatibility View, or...
-
Enter their website in Add this website >> Click Add.
-
-
Make sure that there are NO checks in any of the three boxes at the bottom.
-
Click Close.
-
-
Close ALL Internet Explorer windows/tabs by clicking the X in the upper-right corner of each IE window that is open.
-
The changes that you made above will NOT be applied until ALL Internet Explorer windows that were open during the process are closed.
